In April of 2014, my best friend, Brian Hastings, passed away of cancer. This was also the first time I lost someone that was engaged in social media and had a presence online–which led to consistently being reminded of his life, even after his death.
As a response, I created the website cachemymemory.com that allows visitors to write a message to anyone they miss. Upon release, their message is vanished and untracked, allowing visitors to have a private moment online with someone they wish to communicate with.
