77: A Moment of Silence

I just found out that my cousin was murdered.

Just a few months ago, the same fate happened to my other cousin, who happened to be siblings.

To newspapers, online publications, and screencasts, he will be a sentence. To me and my family, he will be remembered as the guy who I’ve seen grow up. From dance parties in our aunt’s living room, to overhearing play-fights between himself and my brother.

He is a human.

A soul.

A whole life.

A whole heart.

In honor of him and the sake of my own mental health, I will be taking this week off to honor him, the rest of our family, and share this moment of e-silence for him.

Thanks for reading, and see you next week.
